A thirty year career that took me to the four corners of the world provides the backdrop for some powerful stories of leadership and empowerment. I have met with the Senior Vice President of Exploration for Russia’s largest energy company and have made presentations to Dick Cheney when he was the CEO at Halliburton.
I have strolled through Red Square in Moscow, walked on the Great Wall of China, and spent 27 years officiating football in Texas. I have found leadership examples in every instance.
My school years were spent in Dallas, Texas. I played football for the Austin College Kangaroos and graduated from this small liberal arts college in Sherman, Tx. with a BA in Economics. I continued my football career with the McMaster University Marauders while receiving my MBA from this fine university in Hamilton, Ontario. I spent the better part of my career working in Houston, Texas.
I am currently living in Vernon, British Columbia where I have continued my lifelong passion for sports and youth leadership. I coach football at a local Vernon high school, and I am the director for the youth leadership program for the 60 Rotary clubs in District 5060. I have served as the Santa Claus for a local home for disadvantaged youth. I am also an avid photographer having covered NBA, NFL, Division I college football, basketball and baseball and the 2011 Vanier Cup where my alma mater won the National Championship in Canadian University football.
